A Word from the President
I consider it an honour to be asked to be President for the next two years and to follow my illustrious predecessors.
This year in particular the introduction of the equality act and the ongoing proposals to amalgamate the SGU with the SLGA has led to a lot of dedicated work for our members clubs.
We have new talent on to our Executive and Co-opted Members and I am sure that we will work enthusiastically to run our Championship events, Team matches, Course Rating' and Coaching Academy to maintain our position as the 'PREMIER COUNTY'.
Congratulations to our Immediate Past President of DGU - Maurice Shields on his appointment as First Vice-President of SGU.
I wish everyone a successful golfing season and I look forward to meeting as many of my friends old and new at events throughout the year
